Grey leather seats

Recommended Posts

A friend has a few very light cracks in her leather seats,no splits etc, just a bit of discolour, what is a cheap way to cover these up,i would use a proper place like Liquid leather etc,but any ideas to make them look better?

Anyone used grey boot polish?

I wouldn't recommend boot polish: it makes the leather feel oddly slidy and yet somehow sticky at the same time. Presumably there's something silicon related in it. I say that, 'cos I remedied the leather seats in a Senator years ago, which had been treated with boot polish or somesuch. Took most of the day in repeated attempts to get the crap off, and make it feel like seat leather again, and not a pair of loafers.

I wouldn't imagine boot polish will fill or repair cracks, only leather restoring fluids will do that. TBH, Tesco Value moisturiser's a better bet, if it's a quick bodge for a sale you're after!

The secret known only to gay men, and women - a throw makes it alright. What tv show was that from? I was thinking Family Guy, but I'm probly wrong as usual...
