Bearing down on Peterborough...

I have a faulty rear wheel bearing on the Metro which has been rubbling away for the last 40 or so miles and kicked off a few weeks after the MOT. I took it into work (a Nissan dealer) to have a technician change it with one I bought online. Unfortunatly on inspection he discovered the bearing on my Rover is different to the one I supplied  To cut a long story short I won't have it ready for Sunday (BL Day)

Interestingly it has stopped rumbling after being reassembled and although there was never any play there is some friction as you spin the wheel. Am I stupid to think about driving this to Peterborough and back (120miles each way) on Sunday?

Opinions please Sirs...

Do you have your AS breakdown card in case it doesn't quite last the return leg? Problem solved...

Yeah its a quick and easy job if you've got the correct part in your hand!

As above -but failing that, copiously over grease it, leave it a FRACTION looser, and keep the speed down. Should be Ok for a few hundred miles - they make a hell of a din long before they fail

Thanks guys. Problem is I won't have time to change it. Might just wing it with my AA Relay card and a 60 mph limit...
