Book Bargain

Popped into Chatham last week, and as with any town I visit I poked my head into the bargain book shop, in this case The Works, to look for any cheap car books. I spotted this SUV book on the shelf and almost did'nt pick it up due to the cover displaying X5 and Cayenne etc - not really my bag.

 

 

But I spotted an uncellophaned copy and opened it up.....

I've seen that book for sale in The Works before, I don't think it was as cheap as that but certainly under a fiver. I didn't buy it - or even pick it up - because of the cover.

 

Maybe my book judging skills need a tune up.

Book covers quite often seem to be designed by people who have never read the pages between them.

 

I too would run like the wind to escape from a book with a Cayenne on the front.

/\/\ It certainly is bizarre to have a book with the subtitle 'The world's greatest sports utility vehicles' and then have none of them on the front cover....

 

I see the Panda 4x4 is included on the previous page to the golf/peugeot. I will have to hold get a copy.
