It probably started out life as a 1.9TD but got a 2.5 pezza engine conversion at some point

They never fitted a 1.9 diesel into these. I suspect registration document shenanigans........

The CX was never fitted with the 1.9 XUD, only the old Citroen 2.5 OHV diesel. I think that's just a bit of specification wrongness.

On the subject of CX diesels, the turbocharged intercooled 2.5 was one of the fastest diesels of the mid '80s - capable of 120MPH+ and 0-60MPH in 10 seconds.

Correct. I'd love one of the CX Turbo Diesels.

According to Liepedia, there has also been a 2499cc petrol unit- presumably what's been fitted to the car in question.

I've only just realised that the CX never got a V6. How hard would it've been to stuff a PRV into that massive engine bay?

There was. My CX Familiale had the 2.5 petrol. A V6 CX would really have been something. I bet Peugeot just wouldn't let them do it!

I had one. Not the most refined of vehicles, but went like the clappers when the turbo (eventually) kicked in. Sold it to a mate who blew it up racing a BMW on the A11.
