Possible North Wales meet?

Someone suggested a North Wales meet and said I should start a thread :)

Just suggesting a few places where we could meet which have nice roads.

Sportsman's arms on the Denbigh moors

The Ponderosa Cafe at the top of the horseshoe pass in Llangollen (perhaps a little too popular with bikers)

Or perhaps somewhere in Snowdonia like here (perhaps a little far if you're driving from England!)

There's a show in St Asaph in September which I've not been to before which would probably be a bit of fun.

If anyone would like to suggest anywhere else or dates or anything then feel free to post.

Denbigh is my choice, obviously.

When are we thinking, by the way?

No idea! I have nothing planned for the next few months other than going to the movies tomorrow night...... my schedule is very much open!

Can you find a pub in Wales that has camping nearby, then we could make it an evening do and have some beer :D .

I'm sure that could be arranged!

On Denbigh? Shouldn't be an issue..... lol.

It's heavily developed on the moors you know! :D

So shall we make it one Saturday or Sunday? Ooze comin'?

Fine by me.

I last packed away my tent after the Reading 2000 festival, would be nice/distrubing to see what state it's in after all these years. Would be nice to do Saturday evening.

I'll be up for a bit of that, won't be able to stop overnight mind. The Ponderosa is worth a visit/run out even if you plan the meet in Denbigh as the scenery is class.

Definitely. I told a friend that the best and most scenic way to get to Snowdonia is to head up the horseshoe pass and along the A5, but for some strange reason he preferred to go on the A55.....

Yep, I'm up for this.

I'll bring the Maserati if it's in late August / early September, otherwise it'll be the Calibra.

I would also be up for it, hopefully bring the 14.

It is a generally pleasant drive from here to North Wales!

I just saw the St Asaph car show pamphlet on my desk here at home. Sunday 18th of Sept which ticks boxes for a lot of people, entry is free for exhibitors there's saturday overnight camping. Perhaps there could be an autoshite stand? :D

A Welsh shite meet? Excellent idea. But not that St Asaph's one as I've already got two things on that weekend by the look of it. Typical. Not got that much planned before then!

Is the Sportsman's open again? I haven't seen that place open for years.

Not sure. Everytime I drive past there isn't anyone there, but I only go past once or twice a year. Last time I went past there, there were craploads of 2cv's parked outside.

That would have been us! We have a run to RSA every January with the 2CVs. They've always been open, though we always book in...

I'll try and dig out some pictures then! :)

Not suggesting it as a meet or anything, but there's a car show in Rhyl on the 12th of June. I think it's an american car show from the looks of things. It's in the field near Sainsburys. Might go myself just for a look.

I would be up for a meet once I take delivery of the Fuego. Will keep an eye on this thread, only on the Wirral

I'd be up for a "local" meet - But can only attend after the 25th onwards.

So i shall try pop in here more often.

Would be great to meet up now that the 309 runs propperly.
