Just bought this shite off ebay

It arrived just before 2 this morning, not looked round it yet as I was knackered.

Bottoms of the doors are bubbling, the sunroof has tape on it and the drivers seat bolster is pooped. Couple of £££££ needs to be spent, I don't mind though, it'll be worth it!!!!

The yard at Renault Turbo Spares is full of Fuegos - might have some better doors?

Oh dear. I see someone's 'improved' the rear lights as well. Does that stuff come off?

Still looks a great buy though. Enjoy Hero Of The Week status!

George Rhodes & Sons at Biddulph (Stoke-on-Trent) have new genuine panels.

I haven't just gone and mentioned that on a forum have I?:wink:

Certainly got new Fuego quarters, LH front wing, screen, front bumper and at least one doors skin - POSSIBLY - and I mean just possibly there's a complete door.

I was there this afternoon buying bits for . . .

watch this space :D

I am looking forward to getting the work done, has a look at the 14" BBS and they are in pretty good nick, but I will be whipping the tyres off spend some time sanding them down and have them painted.

I will be contacting Renault Turbo Spares today and see if he has an exhaust, maybe 2 doors aswell (hopefully in red  )

It is fun to drive especially once the turbo kicks in!!!! :D

Had my first 'breakdown' luckily outside Castle Wal!!

The starter is right next to the exhaust, got a tad hot!!! Need to get some heat wrap for the exhaust methinks. Does anyone know where its best to get some??? :D

Halfrauds, Demon Tweeks or Chester Exhausts probably best.

Nice one, still on the hunt for a less wanky chavvy back box!!!

The starter on my Fuego turbo tended to fail when the car got hot -especially ticking over for any length of time. You're right- very close to the manifolds.

Effectively made the car 'untrustworthy' -because i never knew if it would restart.

I had it off 3 times (bloddy awkward) cleaning, brushes etc -before i gave up and fitted a new one. No probs since.

Only 38 left on the road, according to DVLA. BTW, have you seen the Otto models 1/18 version? Looks pretty good.

I've been looking at that - very tempting! Looks spot on, except for the shape of the rear window, and a way out of scale rear wiper!

Okay, tough call, but one of my old cars has come up for sale, so Fuego has to go, any interest? Gonna whack the new exhaust on and get the paint sorted. £3250 anyone?
