Leeds Hotrod and Classic.

Recommended Posts

Last night was Aprils Leeds HotRod/Classic meet, its the first one Ive been to so far this year and it seems an awful lot of hot metal was making it first apperance since last autumn.

I'd been at work, so by the time I got there the place was packed, but I managed to find a little spot a couple of rows deep.

Bumped into a couple of familiar faces, MorrisOxide and his dad, and Ben with his sleeper polo (which I managed to take no pics of ::))

But, onto the pics I did take....

I loved this, had an 80's streetmachine feel to it. With dolly sprint running gear, metal bodykit and little details. I wish I'd taken pics of the seats, they were very period...

This was pretty serious. Less paint=less weight. As it left it sounded like he was having a pig of a job just keeping it running. Vicious cam profile methinks

So, there you go. Another month, another bandwidth frying thread. I look forwards to May.

That is a stunning thread. I wish I'd remembered about this event, I was looking for something to do last night.

Great pics, thanks!

Every time I see a cool 100E I kick myself for selling mine...

Some proper good photos there, nice work! This has put me right in the mood for Wheels Day in 12 days time now...

I will try and get to the May version of this again.

But not in appropriate transport, unfortunately.

Most of those drivers need to learn how to park.

That's the truth, Hirst!

I think the last time I went was about 1981, with some friends in a Mk3 Zodiac. Real life intervened and I never managed to return. Great to see all the Detroit iron, but WTF is it with matt black? Paint the fuckers!

Oh yeah, and learn to park. Did these people never take a UK test, or what?

So...much...want.

I could just stuff the mechanical bits from my neighbour's decrepit Stag, into the nearby mystery saloon. If only I had the kit...the perfect AS rat rod is but a dream away!

Awww, the AMC's ruined. No rear hubcap - poor show. I won't be bidding 'til that's sorted, I can tell you

Great photos and some lovely motors...cheers for taking the time to upload them. (:-)
