Spotted at the weekend and such an absolutely outstanding piece of shite I had to share. Wish I had got more pictures now as this one doesnt quite do the full horror justice.

Go on have a guess what it is based on? No cheating now.

Pogs dream right there! i don't think it looks that bad myself, needs some better wheels though.

I'll guess Sherpa.

+1. The grille badge might be a giveaway :)

If I had a will, I'd be writing into it that my last journey would be in this.

Is that based on a Sherpley kit car? I thought they were pretty dire as a car, but as a hearse it’s even more horrific.

Probably hired by someone who didn’t like the deceased much.

I'd rather my coffin were delivered to the graveside by DHL than make my last journey in that.

Or Parcel Force, then your final destination would be a surprise 8)

And it would mean you'd be late for your own funeral - proving friends right over the years

I see your Parcel Force, and raise you RyanAir

My mate's wee brother was there, lots of screaming on the Net "There's a fucking airliner coming in! Looks like he's on final approach!"

Only in Ireland!

I've been on that route - it's an easy mix-up. Same level, looks like a big runway.

Only you go for the second one, not the first!

That hearse is utterly horrific. I'd rather my lifeless corpse be delivered to the graveside in the back of Pogs van and kicked through the open back doors as it was still moving than in that.

Re the plane at the wrong place. This puzzled me -

It is not yet clear how the plane will be removed from the Army base.

erm....

The aircraft

The airstrip at Ballykelly is primarily used by Army helicopters and light aircraft. It was built for huge military planes, making it one of the longest on the island.

Hey heres a thought, why not use the very long airstrip to take off and fly the plane outta there? :?

This one's slightly better

Though not much.

No doubt there was an extra charge for being newsworthy/at the wrong runway/the coach/etc..

There's another out there ...

Bloody nora there is a turn up for the books. Who the hell would have made more than one?

MODS! Yellow card here please for Mr Danblez - he should know by now that ANY Sherpa related thread, even if it is a shite kit based period hearse requires the Sherpa Porn warning in the title - especially as this one is in the 'special interest' section of the ropier "grumble shop" NECROPHILIA!!! :!::!::!::wink::shock::shock::shock::shock:

ps - have noticed quite a lot of these nast peudo period commercial trucks kicking around and all seem to be sherpa based - mind you the 1930's Sherpa suspension makes them an ideal conversion - probably more original than the real thing!

SHERPLY FACT! One of those hearse's was built by the late creator of the Sherply for his final ride.
