I had a Liverpool Echo once but someone stole it. The best engine you can use is an engine, preferably an engine type engine though, not the less desirable engineless engine fitted to the mingebag spec models.

Would this be the US/Canadian built Yaris?

I'd strongly recommend a 1622 A60 B Series.

Yaris with a boot. They are hideous

Not all - my Mum had an Echo 5 door auto until last year which was all but identical to the Euro version. I've seen the booted ones and they're pretty grim. The second gen Yaris is called just that in the US.

I just wondered if there was another Echo apart from the Yaris?

Try a 954cc 4 speed Citroen AX Echo powerhouse.

Robin Williams' character drove a Toyota Echo in the film 'One Hour photo'

Very good film, I wish Robin Williams would do more of that

thank you very much for your reply. it was fast, I would not expect it. I am not lucky to use Yaris engine cause it is not locally used is right that look like echo.

The most cars used in my country is mercedes, and toyota(ex. carina, corolla, starlet, avensis but yaris no), nissan(ex. promera, almera), peugeot(all model), renault(all model). therefore is it possible to adapt one of these models?. I will keep looking for 954cc 4 speed Citroen AX Echo powerhouse, and almera.

If there is any further idea, please let me kmow

thank you

Alternatively, you could try installing SPAM as the primary drive motor. Have you considered this? Ah, I think you might have...

I have a BMC 2.2 Diesel from (believed) a Post Office van, circa 1957. Possibly 48 hp... Might be wrong though. I decided not to use it as a boat anchor, as it might kill the fish.

I am now thinking that Addoud may be real and has just got the wrong website. His English is not perfect , and mechanical knowledge a bit below zero.

The reply was not what I would have thought a spam man would have sent, and no suspicious links either !

What think ye ?

Maybe another spammer?

Unlikely, I think it is someone who is using a bad 'translate into English' programme :(

It seems that the Daihatsu YRV engine will fit, possibly other Daihatsu engines (don't Toyota own Daihatsu ?):

For extra shite bonus points this must be the only vehicle seemingly designed and exclusively used for ease of entry and exit by the more aged and less agile that has been given the name 'Young Recreational Vehicle' On that alone it deserves a place in the Autoshite Hall of Fame :)
