Super Robin 850

I happened upon this the other day and thought it might go down well here. It's been standing since 2004 and is due to be a base for a conversion into a 'alternatively powered vehicle'. We only had a small amount of time before the engine got pulled and tried to get it running for shits and giggles. The predictable dead battery and lack of time put paid to that sadly, anyhow here's some pics.

If this was down to me I'd be getting it running and rolling it around unwashed in it's natural shite state dreaming of bike engine conversions and wheelie bars :D

That's a real shame it's getting broken up, I love these things. Must've been at least 5 years since I saw that shape of Robin on the road :(

That's the estate version, I drove a brown P plate one years ago, They are much more fun to drive then you'd give them credit for, Very light and nippy but not something you'd want to drive for miles like.

Now if someone was doing one of those "wacky" Lands End to John O'Groats road trips in one of these then I'd don my cap to them, Much more of a challenge then a 15 year old Mondeo.
