Less than ship shape shite moving me to tears

Must have watching those reruns of "classic" 1970s series on ITV4 that prompted me on a whim to buy this one eyed, rotten Spitfire.

Now in the garden.

Divorce pending.

Had I not had a car transporter available i would probably have let the whim pass, would still have an intact marriage and would not have this red bit of doggy do in the garden.

So, anyone got the number for the samaritans?

If you put the Spitfire in the house and your bird in the garden you could lock the doors, turn the telly up and fix the car.

Cheap advert for his transporter service?

Actually, no it is not an advert I actually hit the submit before completing.

Apart from minilites and an engine that sounds good I actaully need to strip down and totally rebuild this. So, to save me tiem anyone done a Spit rebuild and can suggest reliable places to buy spit parts. I have had 3 wrong headlights delivered so far, a passenger seat which is probably from a dolomite and not a spit so I really cannot be arsed to keep fishing around for parts and ideally want a small number of reliable sources who know what they are supplying.

Suggestions and proper suppliers can email me direct

Spitfire Graveyard in Sheffield .... break them and are relatively cheap & knowledgable

Rimmer Bros in Lincoln ... new(ish) parts

Both do mail order ;)

There is also a place out Finchampstead (Bracknell) way. The guy operates out of a load of barns and runs a fishery I have been to. Not sure of the car part but the fishery phone number is 01189 732648

phenomenal - I'm all for uneconomic car restoration - you're a frikkin hero in my book

I lurve Spits - THE ideal foil to the MG/Stag flying jacket wearing tosser brigade - true sportshite dodgey waterpumps and all!
