I'm pretty sure that he is in a Vauxhall club as well, as he goes to Billing every year for a Vauxhall car show. I am thinking of going this year, though I might get lynched as a Ford driver.

I'm also thinking of going, in the Laurel. Billing's the sort of place where you can easily hold an unofficial show if a few likeminded souls park up together. This VBOA show could be a good focal point, photos I've seen show an interesting mix of stuff there.

I belong to another (trouble making, slightly mental) forum that is BL based. I think its split 50/50 between BL or death enthusiasts, and general all things "car" enthusiasts. Its forever going mental, its posters are unhinged, but no money changes hands. Thats the key to happiness, a bit like autoshite we have random meets and beano's but an itinery is posted at the start of the thread with the details - you book your own and meet at campsite/hotel/ferry/airport. The main advantage of a face to face meet over the forum is the "keyboard warrior" effect vanishes. BTW this threads 1st post is Ford motor co themeslves, not a club - I know took it

Clubs need to be this:

I think you will find your othet forum is split 90/10 between ONLINE BULLIES and hapless forum cannon fodder for the protagonists to maul...

Quite possibly. Thats why I like it, but nobody who ever showed up ever got abused and was welcomed. I think the targets are fair game. God bless the internet, you or I would have been exterminated on RR for these posts...

Oof. I live Rover 75s, but those people look like a bloody nightmare.

Probably fun to wind them up a bit though.

I think that 'seventies style' bloke with the 2 brown SD1s runs a garage in Mold or Buckley. First ever Rover 800 Coupe I saw was on his lot.

Practical Classics forum used to be quite good but then it sort of got a bit 'us Vs them' between some factions and it got quite tiresome.

Ps:  @ messerschmitt owner
