Start an "antidote..." thread to that ya bastards!

Tagora was, of course, what I sought out first - yielding the epic quote "a bodyshell that was to style what Coco Chanel was to arm wrestling".

Excelsior scans Mr. Pog.

I'm going to start an "antidote to pog's excelsior scans" thread, just to be obtuse.

It'll be full of scans of my sister's 'Real People' magazines.

Content on Autoshite? This is absurd, get rid of this at once.

NICE WORK DOGWHEEZER.

JAPLOY brings a tear to the eye of every shiter doesnt it. We all remember reading it as a kind of golden high point in our shite careers. (Obv not these young uns who don't know theyre born like). I read it so often I can remember any amount of funny phrases and jokes and anecdotes out of it, basically I would say JOPLAY made me the man I am today.

MOAR!

Quite a few of those prices are still relevant though, especially if you consider that a can of Coke in a regular newsagent was 25p and you'd now pay perhaps three times that.

Late '80s early '90s

If you look carefully, theres what appears to be a bit of a cartoon strip , and it looks to be 1995. You can tell it's not recent - £100 for a Mini!

Maybe you can have that as a treat tomorrow if you are all good children and manage to get through the day without any banal witterings.

Looks like it is 1995 the clue is with the MKII VW Polo as they say its been finally replaced this year and its production years are stated as 1982-1995. I only have 1 copy of Jalopy its issue 26 November 1994 and it has half the banger guide shown here (Alfa Romeo - Mazda)I always hoped somebody would post up the other half so thankyou so much for doing this ive been waiting patiently for the last 16 years to read this (thats all ive done, I spent 4 years waiting for the internet to be invented).

Thanks for sharing that!

I was expecting a kind of Parker's style guide, but thats a brilliant read. I can see where many shiteists get their sense of humour from!

Must dig my copies out, for a read. Truly excellent mag, utterly irreverent, and much missed. Thanks for posting these up!

This is ace.

When were cars that cheap?

Unlike most price guides, which have 'Condition A/B/C', and so on; the cars herein were expected to be in 'Condition Z', and found thro' word of mouth at the pub/in a small ad/from a mate of a mate.
