Keep up the good work! I have to say they're not all like that, one of the lads I had for a while owns a 2CV and a 405 Dizzler Exec estate at 16, and another one bought an old Imp to restore after me going on about them. I will get the message across, but for every 1 converted, there are 10 dump valve monkeys.

I would have the magazines if Tiff lived right next door to me.

 

I think Manchester to Glenrothes could be done in less than 4 hours. I've driven to Manchester several times from the Highlands and it doesn't feel that far away.

Is there enough of interest to warrant a minimum 1000 mile / 18 hour (according to Google maps) road trip?

 

Also, I have no idea how much space/weight 1000 magazines er... are? I couldn't think of a way to make that sentence make sense, you get the idea though.

 

Do you think a Mk3 Astra 5dr hatch could cope?

Argh - Would love these - And am only 20 mins away at the moment... Could even collect tomorrow, if it suited?

 

Could potentially store them in the garage in Scotland, pending my next trip down south by car (I live in London most of the time, although usually fly... )

- Pass them onto someone else further south, once I'd had a looksee?

If you can, can you list which 1990-or-earlier issues of CAR you have? I need to fill some gaps in my collection. Thanks.

There are lots of newer 1990's and 2000's mags in there- not enough autoshite stuff to warrant roadtrip like that- but I suppose if you kept them, they will all contain autoshite one day.. There are some folks selling single mags on Ebay for anything up to a tenner!!

 

I need them away one way or another, so If you can collect, come get 'em!
