Cheap BX TZD estate on RR

Does seem good value. Must admit, there are times around here when I wish I'd opted for a turbo diesel!

Very good value and they go well as well. Potential flies in the ointment are the LHM leak (could the octopus) and the power steering only working when it feels like it which suggests possibly related to the LHM leak.

Still, it could just be the return pipe 'things' on the struts that arse causing the agro and if done and the LHM topped up it might be o.k. Doing the 'Citareobics' test should reveal the problem.

PAS could also be a carked FDV, or it may just need flushing through with Hydraflush and the filters cleaning.

Vera did this untill she was thoroughly flushed.

Flush cured my BX's intermittent steering. But yes, it could be something more sinister. Everyone was convinced that my pump was borked when I explained the symptoms. Even if it is beyond its best, it's still going strong over a year later.

I like these, especially the estates. Unfortunately the wife hates them and has made me agree never to own one. An old workmate bought one very cheaply with leaking knackered suspension and it was very cheap and easy to fix. I get the impression that people run a mile when one of these has suspension issues when in reality they are not that bad to fix.

Well, there are some horrors - the aforementioned octopus - but you're right. People do run away. But then I get it with the 2CV as well. Most spanner monkeys run a mile from the 'complicated' brake system. It's not complicated, just different. It's the easiest car in the world to replace brake pads on but because the brakes are on the side of the gearbox, it must be complicated. Duh!
