Q plates seem to be getting more of a rarity these days though - maybe folks just don't cut and shut built kit cars so often (or just lie and hope not to get found out driving a coil sprung, V8,  Range Rover axled, 1967 Series 2a)

I was told to avoid anything Q plated as a youngster as they were always 'dodgy' or 'been in a crash' etc etc
