I have absolutely no idea what on earth was behind this conversion either - agree that it's an enormous amount of effort for very little gain. Yet someone saw fit to do it, nonetheless. Spotted c.1997 by the docks at St Malo (or maybe Ouistreham?), if memory serves. Bloody French etc etc.

In 30 years will people look at a similar photo to above thinking how stuff changed when the cars are say an i10 and a juke?
