Lime Street Station, Liverpool, 1968.

Nice Bedford CA, never seen one in that colour before. The big white stripe was fairly common though.

That CA is a camper-van. There is a awning storage-box on the side of the roof, and I believe CA only had chrome stipes unless they were non commercial versions.

We’re they not all commercials to start with, supplied as a chassis cab by Bedford and then had bodies attached by companies like Martin Walter?

My Dad had a Utilabrake (blue with the big white stripe) which was definitely “converted” by Martin Walter although purchased from the Chatham Motor Company in 1969.

Yep all non commercial versions. Campers and maybe a few multiple seat (bus) versions. too.
