A bit late, I know, but admire the bleakness of the Australian VW 1200 Standard. The poverty spec example with no fuel gauge, passenger sun visor, or glovebox lid. Merry Christmas to you all.

Before I was born my parents had a Belgian one which was converted to RHD & had no fuel gauge.  My Dad managed to write it off when a Fiat 500 or 600 drove in front of him from a side road on Kingsway.
