Eyy?

Well, I like my big old cheap barges, preferably old Mercs.

Some guys like old Eastern European cars, which is fine by me.

Some like Vauxhalls.

Some will only drive Fords.

Others need to modify J tin.

There's a guy on here that actually gets a semi-lob whilst looking at EBay listings of Renault 25s and Safranes (don't worry, I do too).

You've gotta love the classic and shite car worlds. People that get turned on (literally) by a variety of old cars come together to share their passions.

I will never buy one, but I keep having (moist) dreams thinking about an old Transit camper van. I know, how crazy is that!

Anyway, just wanna say that you guys are cool. Even those of you who are into Vauxhalls.

I wouldn't go that far :o

One thing I enjoy about Autoshite is other people's cars because there's stuff out there I wouldn't own in a million years but I'm glad others do because it's interesting to hear of their experiences

Exactly, cavette! Whatever your prejudices (and it's not like I don't have any) there's room for us all here. Long may it continue thus.

Thares a great range of vehicles on here from old sheds to 90's barges etc and helpfull info if requested too. Its one great site and one of the only ones I have stuck to.

Hmm. I work for Vauxhall, but have 3 Fords...... Sapphire, Frog face Scorpio, and a newish Focus. I also LIKE older Land Rovers, by that I mean pre-1971 models.

Am I mad? Heater yes, but draughts a'plenty to counter the effect!

For some reason this thread made me think of this picture

Roll-ups, bald spots, orange cars and bored women. Sums it all up really!

Agreed with all of the above.

I love this place for the variety. There really is a bit of everything on here and whatever your persuasion / perversion, you'll find something here you like. This is probably the only forum I regularly post on although I do contribute to a few others from time to time, but I can't find anything with the same assortment and range of old stuff anywhere else!

I don't own an old and interesting car just yet as I'm not yet brave enough, but I have had a life-long appreciation of cars that are old, unloved, obscure and/or fooked-looking.

Nobody else really understands, so its great to come onto this site and be able to read a thread about members' appreciation for an orange Chrysler Horizon, look through the spotted threads or read about someone's new purchase.

A-S also had a wealth of information about things I didnt know about cars. The recent Chinese cars thread is an example.

Second to the car chat, the sense of humour in almost all the threads is spot on :D
