Anybody fancy an AS mini meet sometime during the day?

We could meet near the Wheeler Dealers stage, theres usually a bit of space in that area.

I'm not trying to plug this event but it appears I have been helping advertising it on their homepage for 11 months, I was approached by a camera crew as I left last year so at least people know what I look/sound like...............

I'll be there on the Sunday. Might well be up for a meet. Depends if I go with my oldman or not.

I got my free ticket s through for this today, I'm driving up next Friday though.

Its £25 a ticket Pete plus £8 parking.

Posted

Its megabux to get in, about £20-odd or summert, but I havent been to any other shows this years so i'm gonna 'swallow' it I think.

If the SD1 makes it through the MOT on Saturday, I may just risk it.

Ah, so it's £33 then? Maybe not.

I am going be there all show as my car is on display,(smug mode) ironically our club stand is near the wheeler dealer stand, so I expect I shall be bored stiff of Mike and or the Sporting bears.... :D

Feel free to wanted over and grokkle at my car

twenty five quid?

Get bent.

I think its £25 for the Friday and is a bit cheaper (like £20) on Sat and Sun. I blagged it last year as I hadn't been for a long long time and it was actually much better and bigger than I was expecting - almost worth the money to get in. Needed all day to get around and even then we missed stuff.

If you''re driving there on Sunday don't forget the Seth top tip of parking by Coventry station for nothing and getting the train to Brum Int!

I'm going on the Friday. I figured that the extra couple of quid to get in would be worth it as it should be slightly quieter.

It is a lot, but I haven't been for about six or seven years so thought I'd have a look.

Anyone who is there on Friday fancy meeting up over an undoubtedly overpriced coffee?

Im on the SD1 stand Friday and CCC Saturday helping out.

Twenty five rips is way too expensive. My daughter likes coming to these kind of things but after fuel and tickets it'll be an expensive day out. A ten spot would surely be a fairer price?

Posted

It is silly expensive tbh. Thats why Mrs_L isn't going. Over £50 for two to get in plus parking is ridiculous really.

Posted

Fugg, that's gone up a wee bit since last year. It was £16 last year.

Argh, look, it's not expensive if we share one car and cut the parking costs up between us. Then there's just the ticket cost to erm, 'negotiate'.

Hence why I was wanting to go down 3 or 4 in a car.

I'm going on the Saturday this year.

If you order tickets online in advance put in the promo code CLUBS10 and you'll get your tickets for 15 quid each.

Hey! nice saving Mash!, Remember that your ticket also gives you entry to the classic bike show (boring) and the MPH show.

Are you sure? The mph show is really really expensive? I thought it was the other way around and that a mph ticket would get you into the classic.

Anyway, I'm kind of tempted and maybe if some London shiteists wanted to risk going in my 604.....

It should probably be on display but I don't want to be there all weekend

I'm pretty sure, my ticket in front of me says "1 ticket, 3 great events! Classic Motor Show tickets allow FREE entry into The Footman James Classic Motorbike Show and also the neighbouring MPH Show (Excludes Top Gear Live theatre).

I might book a hotel and stay in Coventry for the night, Not sure if i fancy the 3 hour drive home at 7pm after walking around all day.

I might make it on the Sunday. Depends on how I feel, and how much fuel the SD1 guzzles on the way.
