It is a W124 identical to mine but with a DIY numberplate. Must be an indian import.

Yes, a few of them were imported in the late '90s, I've seen a T reg one. Is it dark blue?

Yes it was dark blue. Pretty rusty for a 1998 Mercedes as well, certainly more crusty than mine.

I didn't know he was funny either. Something later confirmed to me when I made the mistake of going to see his 'comedy' show in Torquay many moons back.
