Hey, Thanks for the interest, MM suggested I upload any progress, I've not seen our hero this year yet, but after the Christmas festivities and swine flu and all other stuff in the way I got tidied up in the unit got teh big ugly van sold and got my rust vac working. I'm now a tad more comfortable with the welder. Ford metal is still a beeatch to weld but generally I think I've cracked it.

Ignore the bluey lilacness I gave it a bit of rust preventer. will be rubbed off and zinced next visit.

See the bit inside against the bulkhead, that was fiddly!

This bit was cut short as I copied MM5's side so see join where another small piece was stitched in, I'm quite happy with that.

Hungry for a new quick unconnected weld in job I welded these bended rectangles replacing rust glebs! Difficult but blob by blob I got it sorted.

What to do next? Well I need A pilar repair sections, but also theres the front/valance area to consider, do I get an MOT and do valance later or do it now while the things in pieces?! hmm

and then the windscreen surrounds

I now need to locate some old red paint. and some lower A pillar reair sections cos making em is proving difficult. :?::idea:

I'm half way in now but temptation of selling the damn thing crops up now n then! need to move on ASAP.

Come back soon MM!!!!!

That's a picture of the bulkhead behind the heater box, it's sad that I know that.

Keep up the good work, you'll love it when it's finished.

Good work Mark :)

I've popped you a message over on the book of face by the way

But i'll hopefully come up this weekend (Fuel and time depending) - So i can hopefully get one A-pillar done and some other stuff.

(If you can, try get the wings ASAP, just incase i need to change the panels i made)

Might bring Edds TIG up too - if i buy more Argon - So i can do SCTSH_ANDYs exhaust. He can also mess about with the current "shitter"

 Wow lots to do

Pete, Cheers for that mate.

Oldford, yeah funny how you get to know these nooks and crannies really well you presume all others know what they are too. Well spotted.

Mark, cheers mate it's much appreciated, I've messaged ya back, I see you've now got the request of exhaust mods, I'm meant to be driving round the hills Saturday but could put in an evening shift after the meet or just ditch the run out but the run out is useful as I'm collecting the new wings from my mate saturday too you see, so it's not all pointless!

I'm now approaching birthdays, weddings and stag do's season which fills me with much derailment fears :-S on the plus side, brighter nights are coming as is less chaos at work so watch this space. :)

Seeing this restoration progressing has inspired me to go out tomorrow and buy some of those microwave grid chips.

Surprisingly they are tasty and crunchy, specially when its cold and 1am!
