Ta! These tiny mysteries bother me quite a bit, good to solve it. :D

Now you need to post the photos of that lovely Bedford truck down there! Do you know what the story is behind them all being down there?.

Old cars, lorries, tractors and even a dumptruck were dumped down the mine mainly due to the remote location I think - too much hassle to get rid of scrap vehicles. It's a complex of about 30 miles and we haven't covered it all, might be more to find. :)

 Ah! small world!, I take it then that you both went down together?. I'd love to have a look around somewhere like that.

Amazing photos, they have a sci-fi like quality to them. Kudos for going down a mine to snap some shite - THAT is dedication to the cause.

I'd pay good money to have a nosey around there.

It's a Mk3 Zephyr, AJS617B. The Zodiac had thinner C pillars, I know this because somebody told me when I posted it on Flickr before.

is that a mk3 zephyr/zodiac?

Could be; but to me looks a tad Farina-esque.

Great photos by the way. Reminds me of a John Wyndham inspired nightmarish view of a post Soviet attack Britain.

Looks like a Mk1 Cortina to me but I'm absolutlety last at recognising cars.

Nice pictures by the way, wouldn't get me down there though.

Definitely not anything ending in 'ina'.

It's not a "what's this car" puzzle, it's a Mk3 Zephyr for definite.

If it'll make you happier I can give you a puzzle from another mine, this one does end in "ina".
