"All modern cars look the same."

Nissan unveils Juke which looks different to everything else on the market

"Ahhhh it's ugly, it doesn't conform to my car design ideals"

I think it's knowingly ugly and confrontational, like some of Flaminio Bertoni's designs.

The Nissan Juke is daft and I wouldn't want one.

The Audi A2 is daft and I wouldn't want one.

The Renault Avantime is daft and I wouldn't want one.

But I like to see all of them, because they're a bit weird and you don't see many around. They're full-on Autoshite. A lot of the cars we like are a bit rubbish, that's the whole point. The ads for it are a bit infuriating (I particularly dislike the smug-sounding voiceover on Nissan ads), but the car itself is just a daft-looking thing which isn't selling particularly well. If they were a massive sales success and everyone else hurriedly killed off the remaining three-box saloons to make room for Juke ripoffs I'd be concerned, but they aren't, so I'm alright. At least it isn't another Audi Q7 or something.

I wasn't saying it was good or bad, I still laugh out loud when I see one on the road, but I'd had this niggle that I'd seen some of the styling cues somewhere else.

A driving instructor in St Helens is using a Nissan Puke. They don't look fantastic in the rearward visability dept.
