Been seeing a few more old motors about lately, so thought I may as well post a few pics.

We followed this little beauty briefly yesterday.

IMG_2010.jpg

This was parked down by the canal basin in Sheffield. Nice to see in unrestored condition.

IMG_2012.jpg

VERY tidy 205 in city centre car park.

IMG_2102.jpg

This was in a local musem car park

IMG_2015.jpg

Spotted this in Low Bradfield

IMG_1774-1.jpg

IMG_1775-1.jpg

And this was just down the road. Camera bateries had died, so had to use mobile 'phone!

yank-1.jpg

We took a trip out to Lincs Aviation Heritage Centre recently, and spotted these en-route

IMG_1211.jpg

IMG_1209.jpg

And these when we got there.

IMG_1206.jpg

I think this is my fave version of the 'Vette.

IMG_1205.jpg

IMG_1204.jpg

Lovely early Astra

IMG_1129.jpg

And some nice Alfas

IMG_1130.jpg

Some pics from a modified car show, which I'm sure will offend some, but I like - well, MOST of them!

This Merc looks absolutely right to me, though I know the chrome arches don't get much love from Autoshiters!

MFN02.jpg

Not modified, just MINT!

I know we're not supposed to like Beetles, OR modified cars , on here, but I LOVE this! Subtle mods and nice paint.

MFN63.jpg

Ditto this. Stunning chamelion paint and gorgeous wheels. I love it.

MFN44.jpg

This is a shame though!

I bet that's a pig to go through the test.

Agree with you on the Goof - what a paint job!

Glad you like, I was half expecting hoots of derision!! Looked superb in the flesh, changing from purple, through green, to dark brown depending on the angle it's viewed from. Bet it'd be a bugger to match if it gets scratched!

Just realised - I forgot possibly the best! Saw this mouldering away nicely in a farm yard.

Got a few more pics to add - this has been sitting on a drive not far from here for months

IMG_2641.jpg

Nipped out to B&Q this morning, and didn't bother taking the camera. Typically, I regretted it! Saw this on the way there. Must be super rare, surely? I've certainly never seen one before.

Image001.jpg

and this on the way back! It's a Vanden Plas too!

Image002.jpg

Unbelievable!! Still, at least I had my 'phone, so excuse the crappy pics.

approx only a dozen mk1 fiesta fly convertables where made & possibly 2 mk2's.

Nice pics man, thanks for putting them up. I know how you feel about not having your camera, soon as that happens, shite appears!

One thing though, what is that white-ish thing by the Silver Polo at top right-hand corner of this pic? Looks like a horse or something? :?

Really? Hadn't realised they were quite THAT rare!

You're right Lord Sterling - it's a fiberglass horse!! No idea why!

That's nice. A bloke of one of those dreadful Alfa forums restored the red Spud. Sud owners are a proper breed of Alfisti however.

Looks like a 116 Giulietta next to it too - equally rare.

That Astra's lovely. I think it might be a 'Celebrity' special edition, going by the two-tone paint :)

Here are a few more recent spots:

Posted this is another thread, but going to add it here too. This is on a drive not far from us - used to be a Hillman Avenger Tiger outside this house.

Allegrointhesnow.jpg

This has also appeared local to us recently.

IMG_4107.jpg

This looks like an on-going project.

IMG_4108.jpg

Whilst this looks urgently in need of TLC!

IMG_4109.jpg

Absolutely mint Polo seen in local supermarket carpark. Driven by exceedingly elderly gent. Suspect he's owned it from new, and it will have v. low milage.

Need to get that Midget in a container quick and send it over here! :D Sooooooooooooooooo much I can make use of for my A40....

Would the rubber bumpers fit your A40?

Posted

I was just thinking that. That Midget will have a 1500 Triumph engine, not a 1275 A series...

Great spots btw! Love the Allegro.

Ok, here's a few more in this (very) occasional thread:

Absolutely mint Beemer-

IMG_5089.jpg

Slightly less mint Veedub-

IMG_5105.jpg

Poor quality phone pic - don't think I have ever seen one of these in the flesh before-

BMW.jpg

Delighted, and amazed, to see this little beauty in Meadowhall carpark!!

Had to take an unexpected stroll round Sheffield last week, and didn't have my camera with me, which is a shame really!

There's still a few of these knocking about around here, but never seem to have any photographic device on me when I see one. This is a 1600 Ghia, allegedly!

Escort.jpg

I was totally astonished to see this lurking down a side street. Can't be many left which haven't been either restored or bangered!

Cortinaa.jpg

Cortinab.jpg

I suspect it's had replacement front wings fitted - but not very well!

Here's a few more- all taken yesterday on a visit to Merciamarina. Maybe canal boat folk like autoshite too!

Lovely GT6

IMG_8098.jpg

Glorious old Beemer.

IMG_8108.jpg

IMG_8109.jpg

The inevitable Veedub bus

IMG_8111.jpg

and almost as inevitable Minis

IMG_8110.jpg

Triumph Herald looked decidedly rough, but seems to be sporting new sills, so maybe it's not doomed yet!

Even MR Bolloxs mate on RR could do better than that  The one who keeps deleting himself and starting again with a new name

Ok, here are just a few more.

1st, a couple from the weekend at Rother Valley Country Park:

24th10.jpg

24th65.jpg

Next, a couple of unexpected visitors to a near by pub:

1966 Vauxhaul Victor 101 estate. Apparently, one owner from new 'til 2008!! Original and unrestored.

31st25.jpg

31st26.jpg

31st27.jpg

And, fully restored 1955 Chevy Belair 2 door hardtop. Just look at the size of it! That Vauxhaul was considered a big car at the time. These are owned by a couple of brothers!
