DUSTY BREADVAN - UPDATE

NEWSFLASH: Car has no power!!!

When I first saw the car, the battery was disconnected but fired straight up as soon as it was reconnected.

When I collected it a few weeks ago I thought the battery was completely dead as there was no power, but fired straight up on the jump packs and then ran fine.

I chucked a new battery on to drive back home from the MOT station but again, would only start with a jump which made me think the battery earth was the issue as braid was heavily corroded and the clamp was fucked..

Ive cleaned all of the connections fitted a new body earth braid cable and new battery terminals on both sides but the electrical system resolutely refuses to show any signs of life unless a jump pack is connected which makes me think there's an earth issue still. Will check the gearbox to body earth and see what's what.

If anyone has any other advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Bloody literally brand new off the shelf at GSF. It'll be going straight back for a swap.

Chucked another one on which is too big to allow the bonnet to close but car fired up first turn of the key.

Lesson learnt, check the simple stuff first and never assume a new battery is good.

Did try and charge it overnight but still only showed 10.54v and 0% health. Swapped over at GSF this morning and made them test through new one before I left there to confirm it was good.
