Used car roadshow-ITV4

Jason Dawe says..

"Back out on the road Jason explains why the Matra Rancho was a Teenage Kick that was years ahead of its time. With only a handful left on the UK’s roads he is in petrol head heaven when he discovers an immaculate example that is still being used on a regular basis."

Nice car ruined by having fat bloke and ugly bird stood in front of it.

Gah, I spotted this at 8:35 so I don't know if I missed the Rancho action. There's always ITV4+1 if I did miss it though. :D

I inadvertantly watched a bit of Used Car Roadshow the other day when I was bored. Fuck me, it was painful.

ugly bird stood in front of it.

Oh I dunno, I wouldn't say no if she forced herself on me.

No. Not ever.

What if it was an emergency situation?

What if it was an emergency situation?

What, like an OMG IF YOU DON'T IMMEDIATELY DO PENNY MALORY THEN ALL THE KITTENS IN THE WORLD WILL DIE situation?

In that case, then maybe. But I'd be thinking of Kimberley from Grrrlz Aloud the whole time.

Actually i've just googled her and she is a bit of a munter. I suppose I could just say she raped me.

I suppose I would, she's not that bad!

I watched a bit of this this morning, but it had MPV's on and immediately switched over.

About Ms Mallory.

Penny has an interesting and inspirational story. At just fourteen years of age she left home, and never returned. She found herself in London, seeking a better life, but spent nearly 2 years in homeless hostels. As her life spun completely out of control, she realised that to change her situation she would have to take control of her life, and in time worked her way to becoming a sound engineer and a graphic artist.

I never knew that.

I think Reallyloud said it best when he referred to them as George and Mildred.

And she was also stunt double for both Papa and Nicole in the Renault Clio ads.

Never knew that either.

If the Rancho HAD appeared, it would have been this one...well known in club circles and usually features in any article about them.

This was taken at the Simca meeting in Belguim earlier this year...lovely car except for the colour-coded mirrors and door handles.....should definately have been left black and original like the one next to it.

I don't understand why, but this my least favourite Talbot/Simca model...doesn't do it for me at all.....do I need counselling? :?

Penny Mallory...saw her filming at a car show awhile back Always had a fag in her mouth and grumpy as f**k!! :(

I take it they cut out the bit where she crashed and went face first into a concrete wall?

You find Penny Mallory attractive? The government should forcibly take your guide dog away from you!

Penny Mallory is, without doubt, the most irritating thing to have happened to motoring TV in the last 4000 years or so.

A gurning munter who claimed to be a successful rally driver because she did a few events in a pink Sierra XR4x4,

She has made a lot of otherwise semi-watchable unbearable with her false grin and air of unearned superiority, and she ALWAYS tells you to buy the wrong car at the end of any group test.

"Well, in this test we've got a Grimsthorpe Galleon vs the new Ford Focus RS, and I have to say that the Grimsthorpe wins hands down. Despite having over 200 less bhp and four fewer seats the Grimsthorpe would be the perfect vehicle for a young family who just need a reliable runabout. The top speed of 4 mph means it will be very environmentally friendly, and the lack of any interior means it has a lot more room for the kids to play in while you visit your psychiatrist. The innovative pedal power solution to global warming means that the Grimsthorpe also qualifies for zero road tax".

Penny Mallory is a succesful rally driver.

Successful in carving out a TV career on the back of, ermm, well, not a lot really.

If only there was an Autoshite Roadshow on the TV. I'd have Vicky Butler-Henderson presenting it.

No-one else. Just Vicky.

In fact, just an hour of Vicky would do me fine.

Forget about the cars, even.
