Shite-when-new adverts oct 1985

I am just binning some old newspapers at my late grandparents, and thought some of these might be of interest to some on here (they certainly wouldn't be of interest to anyone else in the world 😂)

All from Walsall newspapers from about 3 random days in October 1985.....

Talbot shite....

 

 

Toyota sporty shite....

 

I think with the exception of Goodfellows which is now a peugeot/stellantis dealer (and now at a different address) all the dealers are gone now too.

If anyone of you weirdos would like any of the above for your garage wall etc, drop me a pm and you can have them for the postage, as they will end up in the recycling if not, interesting as they are 😊

I love old  car newspaper adverts like that, it was the same on the telly. Words like 'UNBEATABLE', 'AVAILABLE NOW!', 'THATS VALUE'. It was no nonsense adverts for no nonsense cars.

Minor point, but actually my memory must be failing me. I've driven past it this morning and goodfellows is gone now too - peugeot in walsall is sold by arbury now, so actually they are all gone!
