seems to be a general lack of interest in this not just on here but on FB forums too.  I know the price thing comes up every year but its not that different this year.  Wondering if its getting a bit stale now

Anyone planning to go ?  First year I've not bought a ticket by now so i'm 50/50

What’s the deal with this ? Is it like Rustival where anything goes car wise

I have a ticket, but normally have a car prepped to go by now and I haven't this year, definitely less enthusiastic than I've been previous years, which is shame because it's always a decent do.

No, Rustival was sort of the opposite for those who deemed FOTU a bit iron fisted, I tend to lean towards the FOTU way of doing things as I don't particularly need to spend money to look at someone's 18 month old daily driver, but that's just me. General rule of thumb for FOTU is 1970's to 2003, the more bread and butter the offering the better. Think Popular Plus rather than RS Turbo.

anything pre 2001 I think if you want to park in the display area

I fancy going but shows are just less appealing when you've got nothing interesting to take.  Usually I'd have bought an early bird ticket but at least the price increase means you can buy tickets nearer the time.

Working.

Then, after work, I'm going to work.

I haven't bought a ticket for the first time in a few years. Not sure why, but I think it's possibly that the whole FOTU thing has all become a bit too fashionable and peopley. I might realise I've missed going and enjoy next year's.

That feels a bit cheaper than last year? I've got £40 in my head for some reason. Can't remember how much Rustival was but I'm guessing similar.

Considering taking the Maestro, a hatchback, because I could smuggle Nu_Mrs Grogee in the boot for free. She'd be delighted*

it was about 40 two years ago but that was the price for a car and all passengers. This last two years it's price per person , as there were a lot of complaints that it favoured visitors cramming into one car over people who wanted to show their own car

I think Rustival was sub £15 so a bit cheaper
