Wow! That really had rusted away!, I take it that they have tried to move it and it's collapsed?.

I reckon that a weekend with a bit of Autoglym and a duster and that'll be up and running lovely!!!

Jesus! Agreeing with trig in that it's probably been attempted to be towed out of there and the front half has separated from the body - at least that's what it looks like...

This was actually quite a common occurence with Simcas in the 1970s...

Crikey!. Suppose its been there for 21 years though. Dash looks saveable and the front subframe, inexplicably, looks ok!

Good pic update!

In a similar vein to the Simca, I came across this rusty wreck recently. Anyone any idea what it was?

These are the only photos I can find, from someone else's Flickr account. When I went back recently to take some photeys the wreck had been cleared away. From what I can gather it had been there since the early '80s.

It was transverse engined, I would guess it was roughly Fiesta sized and it appeared to have a chain rather than a belt (or more specifically, given the decay, associated pulleys) on the engine.

The only other real clue is the wheels. Fiat 127 perhaps?

I guess that be the equivalent to parking up a 51 plate Transit Connect or Reanult Kangoo and coming back 21 years later to find it like that.
