Mazda 121 for sale...

This has been hanging around for a while, I keep meaning to get on with it but time and money issues are getting in the way.

I love this car. It looks silly but it's great fun to drive, nippy enough with good handling etc.

The full length electric roof is great in the summer, and it can be controlled from the front or back. It has electric front windows, power steering and all that.

Room for 4 in relative comfort, nice little MOMO leather steering wheel, I'll be really sad to see it go.

Bad points are - it needs a clutch and it's been standing for a couple of months and the brakes are now stuck on. It'll also need a radiator soon, and I've recently had the battery out to charge it, I can't see how to connect it back up without the bloody alarm going off.

There's a few little dents and scrapes, the worst being on the bonnet and driver's door.

I've known this car for years, I got it from some friends who had it since it was about a year old. I've got a load of old receipts, MOTs etc to go with it, the milage is now about 80,000.

Tax until end of November, MOT runs out in a month or so, but it will need trailering away due to the clutch and brakes.

I'd like £200.

Thanks.

it needs a cluth

Last time I priced one, cluths were bloody expensive, and you just know they're a bugger to fit too, requiring three men and a bunch of main-dealer special tools...

I bet that's probably about the only one in the UK with a bodykit, alloys and a Momo steering wheel.

A guy two doors from me has a H reg one of these (dark blue, in boggo spec.), and it looks virtually new. It seems to start every morning, with only a squeal from the starter to give away it's anything other than a new car.

The lack of hatchback doesn't seem to bother him either - for big loads he seemingly just folds the back seat down (seems to be a split/fold one too).

Personally, I couldn't get away with the Toytown styling, but I suppose if you're tooling around in it you ain't looking at it, are you?

Using that logic, I should probably buy a Scorpio.

20 years ago I used to shake my head at the sight of these, but now I'd really like to try one...

Bump time...

I really need this gone now, and I can't bring myself to scrap it, it's far too good (in my opinion...)

Pretty common over here. Look like a bowler hat on wheels to me but fair play to Mazda for trying something different

I would actually love one of these, but this is too far for me to be able to collect with borked clutch and brakes. So this is rather a useless post.

Sorry.

"Cluth" - beware the Cluth and especially the Cthulthu! BAd tiems were had in the Witch House.

I've never seen a manual one of those - I had previously thought they were all automatic. However I've never really been interested enough to look. Does it suffer from scuttle shake?

I didn't notice any scuttle shake when I was driving it, seemed quite rigid.

I reallly need this gone now, so any offers considered. I really can't bring myself to scrap it, I'd much rather see it used.
