Pete-M Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Offering this to you lot first, before I decide to go nuts and restore it. My 3.5 SD1. 107k miles, pretty much FSH, black, tan leather, totally and utterly useable, dead reliable, stainless exhaust, all the toys (some of which work), needs minor cosmetics and a plate on the boot floor where the exhaust hanger has been bodged and ripped through. Only MOT'd until the end of September, but taxed until the end of January. £1500. If you want to give me any less for it, you don't get the Nakamichi CD player and I'm not gonna move much on that price at all. It's worth it all day long. Call me on 07731 744088 if you want to buy it
trigger Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Shame, I might have been interested in this if you wasn't so far, and to think you was only in Norwich yesterday.
Pete-M Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 If you want it, Trig, send me your address. I've got a train ticket here from Gt Yarmouth to Liverpool. It's £102 quid single, so I got the return ticket (extra quid). I'll send you it. It's a nice drive from Norwich to Liverpool. Took me about 4 hours and about 60 quid in the Jag. I reckon the SD1 would do it for £45ish. The train is a drag, but there's a cool car at the end of the rainbow. Ticket is valid until next month.
trigger Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I wasn't far from Liverpool last September so I know it's not to bad a drive, I know it sounds silly but after the weekend I'm a bit uneasy about going so far again, any chance of seeing some photos of the problem areas Pete and would you want me to pay towards the ticket if I do go for it? I need to check that it will fit in my garage also!

If you want it, the ticket is free. It's via London, which is a ball ache. Dimensions are; 4698mm long (185") (although it has a towbar so add that as well.)1944mm wide (78.5")
M'coli Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Rover dimensions are within herePassat dimensions here.I've taken the Passat's number plate as it's rough year - I hope it fitted your garage. The Rover's not a big car these days!
trigger Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Bollox, The Rover's too big for my garage, My garage is 186" end to end, My Passat wouldn't fit either with it's tow bar. (Althought i guess it would fit now!) What a crock of shit
