jnoiles Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 What is going on with those two at the back. That's going to haunt me for days.
rocco1504 Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 That Cinzano bus is, as you very correctly say, EPIC, although the 305 and 405 do it for me as well. Many thanks for the excellent pics
chaseracer Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Heuliez also built the estate (break) versions of the BX, CX and XM.
Negative Creep Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 I love the colour scheme on the 5 Van. Looks like a blank VHS sleeve
Formula Autos Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 The 305 seems to have been ahead of its time. It reminds me of a '90s Impreza in some ways, such as it's 'arches and its stance on the road. The graphics are a bit Subaru WRC-esque too. Love the 405 coupe - what a shame Peugeot never churned that one out. After all, a 406 coupe was produced a few years later, which showed there was a market for a Peugeot coupe of that size and price.
Lord Sterling Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 They produced some fantastic cars, too bad you dont see them about. When I lived abroad I do seem to remember seeing the name "Heuliez" in French car mags/signs around France, though I didnt actually know, until now, what they did.

The graphics are a bit Subaru WRC-esque too. From memory, there were a handful of those 305's built - they were Peugeot's response to the end of Group B. They rejigged most of the 205 T16 mechanicals, and proposed this as a production car, knowing what the intended direction of rallying was. Instead, they got stuck into the F2 and Kit Car regs.I can't believe Renault didn't make that Supercinq. Considering the success of the Kangoo/Partner/Doblo utility cars, that would've sold.Sad to see Heuliez go - and yes, I did associate them mostly with buses - but hopefully it's only a demain, and not toujours.
barrett Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Nice! I love Heuliez stuff. One of my favourites is this:1500 coupe! uber-shite!
