Looks a good day that, the Scirocco and the Cortina particular highlights. Glad to see it hasn’t been invaded by a the Nissan Leaf Owners Club like the show I went to last year.

Every event these days is silly money. We always used to go to the Highland show in Edinburgh but it’s £46 a ticket this year for what is really just a glorified shopping centre. Then they sting you for parking.

However one year I went to a whisky tasting session there  run by Safeways ( shows how many years ago that was). Normally they pour you a thimble full of each whisky to taste, but the guy running this was pouring doubles.pub doubles not two thimbles). 6 whiskies to taste, each one a double , everyone was coming out pissed. Got my money’s worth that year!

Just checked and it's £38 at the Royal Norfolk Show next week apparently. Only went there once back in 1991/2.

Royal Welsh is £34 - £36 for an adult this year. Free parking with bus transfer or £25 on site.
