I’ve got one for the Ford GT40, these enthusiast ones are pretty good, particularly if (like me) you pay charity shop prices for them.

I think the old lady who sold me the GT40 one thought I had one and needed to change the spark plugs or something…😄 ‘people don’t work on their cars anymore, do they?’

I would expect the Renault 14 has an even bigger ratio of surviving Haynes manuals to surviving taxed and tested cars.

I have two Lancia Beta manuals, thats got to be a good percentage of surviving cars!

I also have two for the Mazda Montrose. According to How Many Left there are only 4 cars left. The chance of me finding an owner for the duplicate manual is pretty slim.

In my local one they had a Stanza manual for £6. I would have explained to them the statistical chance of someone walking in and a) having a Stanza and b) not having the manual let alone being prepared to pay £6 for one was extremely low.

There are also country variations to consider, when I could not find a manual for my Mitsubishis Sigma I looked to Australia where it was called the Magna.

Haynes indeed did a manual for the Magna and I bought a used one from Australia and had it posted.

Funny that you should mention that. A while ago I picked up this one from a local charity shop. It's obviously for an Australian market car but also covers the Suzuki Swift

Haynes also produce Australian specific manuals under the Gregory’s name. Gregory’s was a street directory and map publisher that bought out Scientific Publications, who produced workshop manuals. Gregory’s then merged with UBD, another map publisher, and the workshop manual side of the business was sold to Haynes.

I'll have to get myself some of those!
