Someone with a better grasp of the English language than I should make a 'how to post pictures' topic, detailing all the different permutations (linking from ebay, from the web, from google earth, photo hosting etc) as a lot of folk seem to have trouble with this.

Anyone?

It's a bit of faffing about but i downloaded this program http://www.jetscreenshot.com/

Then i use it to "capture region" and save to file, Then i use http://tinypic.com/ to upload the image from my pictures to message board size, once finished uploading i then just copy and paste the code on to here.

I know it sounds like a lot of work but once you get the hang of it , it's quite easy.

Be very useful for Luddites like me. If someone does this [pretty please] can we have it as a "sticky"?

Instead of downloading that, most computers have a 'print screen' button (PRT SC), this copies exactly what is on screen. Then just go into MS paint or whatever and go to Edit > Paste.

Yep, just hit Print Screen and than paste into a graphics program - I prefer Irfanview to Paint but it doesn't make much difference.

On this machine it opens the image with options to save to wherever - I save to the descktop and upload to either ImageShack, Photobucket, Flickr or Picasa (just found I had a Picasa account that I had forgotten about.

Just found this that made me smile:

On the view you want to capture, I simply press Print Screen or PrtSc on the keyboard, open up MS Paint then 'paste' it into that. From there you can do what you like with it, crop it etc then just save it as a jpg & upload it to your image hosting site like Photobucket, same you would any other picture & do the usual to display it on here.
