Those are ace! Tudor mudflaps FTW! I remember those from 20 years ago when I worked in the motor factors - they fitted nothing.

Posted

Those are g-r-r-r-eat! Thanks! Could look at them all day.

Gamma is a car I dont remember seeing even as a kid......ultimate shite now!!

I`ve got some Tudor mud flaps... dont think they`d look very good on any of my fleet though...

Wow I could rock a Renault 18 Turbo no problems!

I did just that for a while. If memory serves me right, it was BTJ831X. Green, it was.

Blimey the Amstrad 901 CB Radio  .

I remember them with their distinctive "roger beep" and the terrible bleed through from adjacent channels.

Happy days though - thanks VWP for these :D .

They did something like 12 mpg too.

I remember seeing one of these in Quick's Ford, the large Ford main dealer on the road into Manchester about 1982. It was a much paler blue than this and had the squishiest comfiest grey leather seats known to man.

Everything was labeled in English too, just in case you forgot what the buttons did - the electric window switches were marked "electric window" and up and down. Very thoughtful of them I thought, removing any potential embarassment through erroneous button selection which could potentially be a significant hazard.

The ad says priced from £17,350: looks like even Ford were acknowledged the monster discount!!

I enjoyed them so much, I thought I could post up a few! I hope you don't mind, VWPowered.

This is so rare and cunning, I've never heard of it. From June 1982.

Unusual transmission, this. Could catch on?

Together with "Sweet cornering", part of a big campaign.

Awesome, Fiat 127 Sport! I loved mine.

0-60 in nearly 13+ seconds, bugger I thought it was fast as f*** back in the day, it felt as fast as my current car which does it in 7.5. Shocked that it was so slow.

Would love another.

Phwoar, I dont half fancy a 'Virile Velox' now!!

these ads are great guys, keep 'em coming

Trig - i've got some early 70s Popular Mechanics mags if you're interested?

Posted

Thanks for the offer Scott but I'm not really a fan of mechanic magazines, I'm more into normal car mags, cheers though.

Amazing stuff! Thanks VWP! :D

Anybody got that CAR magazine annual, showing the mag's pages from the 60s and 70s? It's full of stuff like this.
