Yeah, when I thought about getting a car with a fibreglass roof at some point I was thinking more MX5.

Many thanks to @Scruffy Bodger for popping over this evening to help me tinker then staying until it was too dark to see.

The tinkering was on the grey 405 but the white one needed a fresh battery to move first so spanners all round.  Obviously should have done this years ago but found a problem with the belt tensioner which is now completely seized but is now off the car.

As alluded to, I'm fucking useless left to my own devices so if you need a hand arrange it. If I say I'll be there I'll be there.

Fair play for your tenacity with the minimum of tools working in the dirt! Fingers crossed we've found the issue?

It was worth all that just to see the wildlife and not squash it!
