I just can't help myself!

Thankfully for once, rather than Surrey or Skye, this one is but 9 miles from me, in North Liverpool :)

Lie-in count: 1

Bacon and egg sandwich count: 1

Currently travelling expressly up the Knowsley Expressway.... Shan't be stopping at the Safari Park though!

A Saab would be interesting, but alas no.

After the successful acquisition of the Insight, this is to complete the "hauling" half of "Operation split out the Shogun".

Clues: it's got 5 cylinders, and it's not my first rodeo with one.....

Collection achieved. Cleanest one of these I've seen since well before my previous example, and that was 10 years ago!

It's big and grey....

Yep, strong Volvo vibes here.

Dibs when you're done with it.

Discovery 2 ? Broken?

Yes, and thankfully no, respectively!

It's a remarkably solid 2004 Landmark, 162k miles and undersealed seemingly from new. The seller had used it about 10 times in a year as his wife didn't like camping in it, hence the sale. Before that it seems it was classic example of "giffer owned, no expense spared" as it came with an entire carrier bag of invoices and all the genuine dealer workshop manual! Still has working ACE and rear air springs too :)

First trip, up to my nearby workshop to retrieve all the in-car paraphernalia I'd left in the JagRover after removing it from the Porsche for my swap with RichardK

Needs a few cosmetic bits done and I'd like to give it a service to re-zero things, but for £6750 I can't really complain, especially as the hugely expensive rack and tent were included. Not sure whether I'll be keeping those yet though....

Drives nicely although I need to recalibrate to a lazy 4 speed slushbox after years of snappy 8 speeds!

Nice, do you still have the series 3 Station wagon?

Nice purchase! A good D2 is thin on the ground now.

It was 10 years ago last month that I bought my first D2, an (at the time) 10 year old Landmark for £4500. I remember driving yours before settling on buying one, and I've had a fair few since! I've tried D3 and D4 for 8 months and 3 weeks respectively, and always gone back to D2s. I even had a galv chassis one for a couple of years but the rot was taking hold of the body.

Not sure what to go for next, been to see a couple of Amaroks. Manual, low box, ability to carry and tow plenty and also be usable as a daily are my criteria.

Mine as bought, and once fitted with facelift 16"s for a bit more sidewall.

I have a good set of those 16"s if you want some!

Great purchase but HFM? Wow. I payed £3250 for mine with similar history, similar parts cannon over the years. But check your inner arches and foot wells. Mine was “ok” but on further inspection needed a lot of welding to the inner arches and bulkhead. top buyage by the way!
