Father Ted Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 They didnt sell.No body wants them...Can an autoshitter make use of them? They needs collecting mind. Otherwise the scrap metal bin beckons. All funny imperialomatic sizes.PM if interested.
Father Ted Posted May 24, 2010 Author Posted May 24, 2010 Always a help, sorry I kind of assume most people know where I live.PR5 - south Preston, Lancs.
M'coli Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Try offering them to a preserved railway or something like that - they tend to like imperial sized stuff.
garbaldy Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 what are those crows feet for ive got a few off them and never found a use for them.
dollywobbler Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Or try advertising them in a weekly classic car publication's autojumble section. Collection only perhaps...
Father Ted Posted May 24, 2010 Author Posted May 24, 2010 Good thinking, if no one from here takes me up I could nip down the Docks Steam Railway and "donate" them through the letter box late one night
trigger Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Spanners like that sell for about £1 or £2 down the autojumbles.I sold a big bucket of old spanners the other week for my dad on ebay, got £6 for the lot and the bloke turned up and collected them within 20 mins of the auction ending.
Station Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 That Stilson type adjustable spanner in the middle of the last photo is invaluable. I've removed every single bolt with that, I have the same thing.I have a big old metal tool box with similar stuff in, open ended spanners that come in 6.5mm and 3 1/2 inch, and things I haven't got a clue what they do!
rocco1504 Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 I was given the tool content of a garage that had been owned by a 96 yr old a few years back, he'd been in the engineers in WW2 and the stuff is amazing.Like Station, I havn't got a clue what half of it's for, but checked the new price on the Metal workers Vice I got, over £500.00 I'd love to have it FT, but again you're a bit too far away to collect.
