Laters city life, Im outta here for a bit

Been grafting. Got a staff house to stay in mow rather than the caravans which are to be fixed up and let out. In between the day job ive been busy equipping the house with stuff found around the site to make it more a home than an empty shell. Lots of scrubbing up of stuff found in sheds mainly.

Missing handle in kettle lid now sorted was getting bored of burning my fingers on that every morning for the second cuppa.

Just sat down for a break as my knees playing up.

Was wondering about doing some reverse lowering (surely a sign of old age) on the Berlingo to make it sit more legit looking as spends most its life overloaded. Glad im in a contemplative mood as have just remembered how rusty the rear beam is and decided to leave it well alone instead of getting stuck into it like a prick. Like my knee and the aforementioned this is another sign of getting old. I like it, shall have some lunch.

Is there room to fit some of them "helper" airbags in? Needn't go all air compressor and wiringy surely a remote line to somewhere accessible with a schrader valve on the end of it would let you put a bit of wind in them when you've a load on.

This is a good shout and i know a man who has some laying about. Could run them off my makita pump so i can roll the high street tripoding like a G.

Got the bikes in the workshop first battery on charge shall swap them over later.

Been busy with the apprentice doing some plumbing and fixing up the wall i had to cut about.

Keeping the momentum up through the muddy ruts got it through aided by it being empty and currently at max ground clearance. Collected a fair bit of foliage in the narrow tracks but no damage done. Versatile.

Lost your TentBox someplace? ;-)

We dragged a smol caravan around Scotland with our 'Lingo a few years back and it was very well behaved - passed quite a few melting SUV types in various mountain passes - ace machine (shame the driver's seat position killed me)

Am away camping next week and was wondering if with a sheet or 8x4 added i could pitch on the roof. Weathers looking good so may take the bike anyway though yeah a ladder up the back door and roof tent may be in its future.

Check out the chicken gang.

Most of this lot are ex rescues and been doing well here. Thats Dave in the background. As the only cockerel with plenty of ladies to service he too is doing well. Thats one of my old Transits peeping out the bush. It too in its retirement to the countryside is living its best life even if currently full of straw and more than a few mice no doubt.

Came back to London mid evening then worked the following day for some pocket money. The day after hit the road for mid Wales on the Himalayan. Twistie route as ever stopping in the Cotswolds for tea and a chat and once or twice for fuel.

Woke up here.

Mates had bought up the KDX as although the Himi is capable for what we were riding the Kwaka is loads better.

As it proved by beating all the expensive wiz bang tackle up the hill to enjoy the view.

Great weekend with a cracking bunch of lads in a beautiful part of the world.

Loaded up this morning and was the last man to leave site.

Few brief stops for fuel and a stretch and now sitting on my throne in the flat instead of a porta loo in a field.

Quick pint in Greenwich as is customary when near home.

Four days in London best earn some cash before buggering off again.

Four days slaving for the man followed by a nice family weekend in the New Forest then straight back to the Cotswolds.

Deer in my garden this morning

Living the dream! I moved away from London a good few years back, I really miss some aspects of it, but some of me is much happier in the midlands. The dream would be to have 2 places but that's not feasible ☹️
