bangernomics Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 Ha! Guess where we have booked. We were recommended the old town part, so have booked there. The newer bits do look a bit like that. Will see I suppose! Thanks for the linksIt’ll be fine, theres a friday market that will help Mrs W buy some shite so enjoy that. Also some nice bigger hotels. I will stop there, the curry place in the centre is okay, there is also a nice barcelo and a good H10. I will dig out the restaurants that we tried there. Did you book a car? Video it on collection even though most of the sharks have been fired off now. Todays spots.Old CFThis was mint. Westbay and warninglight 2

tooSavvy Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Ahh... ^ ^ Celica! As a pimply yoof, c. 18, I was mates with the guy who owned the petrol station/repair garage on our estate. He rallied one of these.... He cut/welded the bottom susy links to give wild camber = enhanced cornering twitchiness 🙄... I called in one Sunday, after a Saturday night event, and he had grass embedded in the roof guttering.... "Nowt mega", he said >> "just a roll in the grass!" Very loud & Very fast 🚀👍 🚙💨 bangernomics 1
bangernomics Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 Had something to eat last night at Nana’shttps://maps.app.goo.gl/p3hYbTvRjWC7KJGm6?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copyAn asian fusion place, perfectly reasonable/edible. €45 for two mains and drinks. We also will be returning to this little husband and wife place. https://maps.app.goo.gl/9sW7DFA1tWzP8q7W8?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copyWe went a couple of eves ago and she wouldn’t let us leave without a pud, we managed but only after Mrs B had to neck two rum/honey concoctions. Booked in for Friday eve. Highly recommend the goat stew and sardines but we will have a bash at the tuna, cheese & salad options next. They don’t change the menu even annually so you know what you are getting. Stinkwheel, High Jetter and warninglight 3
bangernomics Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 A bit of random tapas last night having go do stuff fatigue. https://maps.app.goo.gl/uYN4TMMqC7cYdsVGA?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copyHad three fishy dishes and two drinks each. €45 a theme it seems. Then brunch today at the french bakery that never disappoints, we also bought two baguettes to male sandwiches for the return journey tomorrow. Two coffees, Mrs B had a sandwich and I had a croissant €8.40! Buttons and lovely. Back to Santa Anna again for our last eve. Todays limited chod spots.Check out that paint on the saxo! I reckon if they open the door and drop into the drivers seat too hard it will snap. The number and variety of ancient/van with a mattress things is mind boggling. Absolutely zero regulation it seems like the last moments before signs and fines land. loserone and Marshall2810 2

bangernomics Posted January 21 Author Posted January 21 Watt a thoroughly uneventful journey. (Sorry terrible pun)Car drives fine, i had the heater on a few times but mainly hand and bum warmer. Not sure if that is good economy for the second part of the journey but I was quite careful. Problem is now I would quite like to try a proper modern one given this makes the old shite I have been driving feel ancient. warninglight, Dave_Q, 320touring and 4 others 6 1
loserone Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Yeah that's pretty good economy really. Heating the seat and wheel is more efficient but may lead to cold dugs. Do you still have a french house thread anywhere btw?
320touring Posted January 21 Posted January 21 That's decent economy, and I am jealous of your heated seats and wheel. Plus your posh heater. Glad you are getting on ok with it, it's a bit of an odd experience if you have never driven an electric car before. bangernomics 1

bangernomics Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 Mrs B went to visit daughter and smalls today, there is a geniepoint round the corner so even though it had a massive 64% left paranoia made her go for a charge. That was a ball ache, charger black screened and wouldn’t stop. Actually I suspect it was working fine and just hadn’t finished as when I spoke to their helpline it was reset and had hit 94%. Anyway nobody died and the like so win win. It has met the first requirement. Notable the isofix was very easy to locate and attach. Joy whilst on a teams call trying to deal with that but we made it.
bangernomics Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 Getting ready to convert the garage as it is uselessly small but will make a good office/craft/kid crap room. To achieve the knock through access we want I needed to move the solar inverter and the battery and inverter that I bought second hand and fitted last year. Started pulling it off the wall and a bit of OMG wires struck me. Then I realised the solar MC4 cables were too short to move into the space we had designated so onto ebay, cables landed next day which was outstanding. Then garandkids were delivered so that did for a few hours so I managed to do a bit of noise before they went to bed and then for the last hour or so I chucked it all back together in the soon not to be downstairs WC. Need to buy some more trunking tomorrow but for now win. Also addressed the one advisory on the leaf which was a numberplate bulb, the people on here eh letting me buy a car with that horrendous fault. bangernomics Posted February 1 Author Posted February 1 A very uneventful motoring week.Polo hit 237k yesterday going to fix a shower pump in a friends house in Oldham that his daughter lives in. A ‘plumber’ came out as quoted £700! The pump was well under £100 delivered next day. Two thumbscrew connectors and 20 mins bleeding air. The leaf has delivered 200 odd miles without issue, all via a three pin plug. Will change the tariff when this one expires to an EV one but even at 21.99p per KWH it is crazy cheap to run. Mrs B is averaging 3.8mi/kwh 5.8p a mile vs polo 10.5p.Mingebag level 107%Loving the smooth quietness of the leaf. Polo still hilariously cheap compared to porsche whose per mile cost we won’t talk about. Would be good for it to go, and I have had some wonderful offers just none have aligned with the reality of my car world just yet. The trade policy is due for renewal on the 22nd of February so likely if I don’t sort something out by early to mid this month then the porsche will stay for another year or so.Quite fancy a luxurious modern but who in the right mind swap for 911, you know you want to. somewhatfoolish, Marshall2810 and ProgRocker 3
bangernomics Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 Also got the v5 finally for the schwalbe after a bit of dvla too and fro. FLF181Y Dave_Q 1
bangernomics Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 Visit to daughter and the grandkids with a stop to collect something dull on the way. Did a total of 78 miles with 60% motorway and had a whole 31 miles left. Use case met with the only concession being we sat between 60-70 on the MWay. Zealot mode engaged eh.
bangernomics Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 Nissan arse burgling app doesn’t work. Is this leafspy useful. Will it tell me remotely when it is charged or how long is left? Is there any other benefits to it? Do I really have to buy a £30 dongle and pay £20 to look at the battery health? Will the cover go over it? Do I need a splitter cable? Will it flatten the battery/make it explode. Bastard nissan gits.
