Went this morning to the "Barn-find" sale at BCA auctions in Blackbushe.

A collection of 40 classics from a private collection.

However, when I got there, nearly all the cars were complete rusting wrecks so it was a bit of a waste of time. However a couple of "autoshite" contenders went through at strong money.

A doggy 87E FSO 125P with no back window and needing a respray sold for £350. Bearing in mind there was a buyers premium of about £150 on top this was no way a bargain!

A lovely 12,000 mile Proton 1.3 saloon on a 93L plate in mint condition sold for £1300. I didn't expect that either to be honest. I thought maybe £750 tops.

A solid, but covered in surface rust Cresta PC fetched £800.

But surprise of the day was a dog rough Zodiac Mk11 convertible which went for £6000+..I was gobsmacked!!

Oh, I just found this link.

See what I mean?????

Looking at the results on honest john's site there seemed to be alot of bargains. However,I looked on auctionview yesterday and even though most only had one photo they seemed scrap to me.Except that lovely GT6 in yellow which, although provisional, looked a bargain.

I saw an ad for this event at about 7 am when browsing PC during the morning visit....The FSO was almost enough to drop the kids off at mother's and sneak down there for some serruptitious shite bidding.

Spending six grand on a car would make me feel like Mr Moneybags, so how about this:

You could probably get one of the nicest SD1 Vitesses out there, but not for long as they seem to be "doing a Mk2 Escort" lately.
