Because a friend of mine needs an autobox for a 88 Chevy Blazer...

Theres a guy on RR called KevFromWales that tinkers with such things. He's coming to Cholmondeley too. I can drop him a PM to see if he's got anything suitable.

If you could, that'd be marvellous. 'box is needed A.S.A.P.

Right, I've dropped him a PM. Though, I already know his first question will be is it pez or derv?

Was/Is there a place in Crewe that sells/breaks such stuff, just remember it being near the 'Mornflake' Bridge down the back of the station IIRC.

Wow i have been past there over 1bn times and not spotted this place.

It was on the Gresty road, just after the bridge, a quick 'Street View' and it seems to have gone.

A bit more research, and yes they have closed.. however possibly a few helpfull links in this thread..

Pete, Ive got a PM back from him. He knows of a 4x4 petrol one that its V8 pilaged, the chap most probably still has the auto' and tranferbox. He's going to Cholmondeley for sure if you want to talk about it face to face or I can get a phone number for him if its needed desperately....

That'd be good, it's a V8 petrol, naturally.Um, a.s.a.p would be good, it's for a friend, and said friend pesters professionally.

That was the Blues Brothers, Tim and Adrian. Good lads. I've sold them a couple of bits and bobs in the past.

Ah, they always seemed to have some pretty cool stuff there. Have they closed down now? It was about 6 or 7 years ago that I lived round there.

Sounds that way. I spoke to them about 5 years ago and they seemed to be playing with more expensive Yank stuff instead of breaking it.
