First stint done. More black flags than at an Al-Qaeda meeting. Stayed out of trouble and did a 1.45 ish on clean laps which I’m pretty happy with. Car does 95 on the long straight. Me, braking while everyone else accelerates…

Quite a few spins and breakdowns which I avoided… then a stroke of luck for us. I came in for driver change seconds before the whole race was black flagged as some showoff decided to catch fire like an attention whore or something.

… so we got a free driver change with no time penalty. I was up to 15th in class or something and 50th overall which is bloody stupendous! But…

… as driver 2 pulled off there was the undeniable trail of piss from the car. Remember I’d bodged the PAS coolant line and someone on here said it was dodgy? Well, fuck them because that wasn’t the problem, but the original PAS line elsewhere had similarly corroded. So we applied the same kind of bodge and joined the queue to return to the race before it has even restarted. So, driver change and repair with no overall time penalty.

Done my final stint. LOTS wrong with the car… brakes hot and juddery, steering vague, many unpleasant smells, etc…. My stint came to a premature end due to a black flag, because “we suspect you of being a communist”. 😂
