Ovlov compulsory in all photo threads

It's a long time since I've seen a Favorit as tidy as this :)

Another one from Chasewater, I wonder what all the bits are for

Summer is a-coming so I'm spending more time in the Welsh Marches. These were spotted in a few minutes when I was dog-minding while my wife was stocking up in the local supermarket:

Finally a couple for vwpowered :) This derelict building in the grounds of Croft Castle:

contained the remains of an old water wheel:

which had been used to drive a ram pump to supply water to the house:

Sorry about the poor photos, it was impossible to get a decent angle through the barred doorway :(

Hey those Nova saloons have disappeared round here, I dont see any at all. Also, the N13 Sunnys have begun to vanish, I used to see alot but its dwindled recently, Morrisons still the top supermarket for spots!

Asda in Tilbury is pretty good!

That is because they are the suppliers of the Autoshite breakfast of choice:

Today was the Sandwell Historic Vehicle Show. Sandwell only exists in the minds of local government reorganisers, so the show actually takes place in West Bromwich, which is generally accepted as taking fifth place from bottom in every measure of what makes atown worth living in, but by a strange symmetry appaers fifth from the top in the list of shite towns. However appearances can be deceptive; I parked my car at the Sandwell Valley nature park (which does exist) and made my way to the show field along the track round the beautiful Swan Pool:

First the classics. Oldest car there was a 1925 Bean, rightfully with entry number A1, made locally in Tipton, so it had travelled a net three miles in 85 years :)

Just to remind you what delightful cars MG made before they started rebodying Sherpas:

Posted Image

Set of Metropolitans (hardtop and convertible:

Posted Image

I rather like this, especially with that set of spotlights:

Posted Image

Jensens of course were made in West Bromwich, so there are always more here than you can shake a stick at. Failed attempt at arty shot

Posted Image

Sadly the owners of this 541 were unable to enjoy the show as their car ate them shortly before the beginning :(

Shite content to follow shortly :)

More from Sandwell, feast your eyes :)

Cresta (I think):

Posted Image

Allegro club were flying the flag :)

Posted Image

Convertible Cavalier:

Posted Image

Not a Land Rover but an Austin Gypsy, must be pretty rare:

Posted Image

Landcrab:

Posted Image

First one I've ever seen at a show

Posted Image

This is a Fargo. I've never seen one before, what exactly is it?:

Posted Image

Eat your heart out Brammy, this was tucked away at the back of the Sandwell College stand. Do you have anything like this?:

Posted Image

'Available for weddings'; it looks more suitable for honeymoons

Posted Image

And for the GRAND AUTOSHITE MEET-UP, what could be better than this :)

Posted Image

Just caught this disappearing Moke, so carp telephoto shot

Posted Image

240s appear to be an endangered species so nice to see one on farmers market duties

Posted Image

3-door Rangie with interesting Solihull number. Factory history?

Posted Image

If you go down to the woods to-day (there was a Land Rover even more deeply hidden  )..............

Posted Image

.............. you're in for a big surprise

Posted Image

Also in the same location, not watershite but a very historic boat, this was one of the very last boats working on the Black Country canals

Posted Image

No need to lurk around supermarket car-parks, this was taken from the bedroom window :)

Posted Image

That's all for now folks
