Old man with Montego vanden plas needs your help(pics added)

cars now gone again. anyone know what he did with it?

Not 100% but I think he may have had it collected for weighing in Spoke with him a couple of times last week and he was swinging wildly between getting someone who used to look after it for him to look at doing the work and having it cubed.It was mentioned there was some interest on here for various parts but he seemed to think a clean break by scrapping it would be a better option emotionally for him So it could now be an ex-Montego or undergoing extensive surgery

Although its a shame the car couldn't be of any use for spares for the various folk from this parish (or anyonee else for that matter), you kinda can't blame the old fella for weighing it in in these circumstances.

UPDATE

 

This topic can now be officially closed as the old guy had the car collected by a local metal merchant last week. I think he did the right thing as repair was not a viable option. It prbably fetched a bit more than usual as the extra weight from the drawing pins must have added to the metal content

I spoke to him yesterday and he is very grateful to everybody for their interest in the wellbeing of his beloved Montego but realises it's time to move on and learn to like the Rover in the same way.

He expressed special thanks to Minimad as he found him a very helpful nice young man

Well he said he didn't want to see me leave without nothing.

He even made me wear his clothes .... okay it was a coat but it was still kind of weird -it smelt funny-
