On Saturday, my girlfriend and I walked 13 miles in support of the Anthony Nolan Trust (Leukaemia) ... the reason being that my gf's dad suffers from a form of leukaemia. We did a 10 mile walk in Windsor last year.

Some pics here if you're interested.

As always I had my eyes out for shite, and thanks to Google Streetview I can bring you:

Well done on the charity walk  I admire people like yourself, who think of others .The only charity work i have done is "Stick it to MS".Great photo's too, looks like you enjoyed yourself

Think it's a late 70's/early80's Honda Accord.Good bloke for doing that walk. My step son had a rare form of leukaemia when he was an infant but is ok now.

What was that black little square bit in the middle of the rear lights on the Transit? Always wondered (in a way).

Thanks Tayne, much appreciated :)

We walked from our house in Old Woking to Hersham station, got the train back to Woking, walked to the pub for fish and chips and a pint or two, then to the bus stop, then from the bus stop down the main road back to our house, so 13 miles all in all. We both felt pretty sore after all that - but it was all in a worthy cause.

Our main route

We used to live in Walton-on-Thames, so it was strange having walked there from Woking, instead of driving!

I was in Stoneleigh near Ewell on Saturday to sing in a concert and came across some lovely Vaux-shite. No camera, but with the help of Google Street View:

What's that?

A Vauxhall VX series! This is the closest I can get as the front-on shot is obscured by a tree. When I was there, this was in the drive close to the house facing the other way, so I could only make out VX and possibly "2300" in the evening gloom. You'll have to believe me when I say that on the other side instead of a white Cavalier there was parked a tasty, mint, black Chevette estate on an X-plate...

And just a few doors away was parked this beauty:

Don't apologise, we're always happy to see another SD1 here! Nice VX and Humber too! :D

Thanks :) The SD1 appealed to me because of it's careworn appearance and those gr8 wheels.

Now I bring you some Turkish delights and dross from Kos, snapped surreptitiously while on my honeymoon.

Another one.

A veritable shitefest: orange R12, one of countless Transits with "2.5 DIRECT INJECTION" stickers on the front wing 8) and TofaÅŸ Sahin... and something else hiding at the back - what do you think? 132? These were owned by gypsys trying to sell souvenirs near the Temple of Diana, Ephesus.

This was the sight that greeted me upon entry to the harbour - erm... suzuki swift saloon and dattie pickup?

Turkey was a real shite spotters paradise. Countless old Fiats and TofaÅŸ variants, Renault/Dacia 12s, entire legions of Renault 9s, lesser amounts of 11s.. a few Cortinas, one Pug 504, the odd Skoda Estelle and Lada Riva. Very few Citroens: 2 BXs in a scrapyard - one in use and having something loaded into the boot. Oh and a Daewoo Espero, seemingly abandoned that I couldn't manage to get a pic of, soz!

Hope you enjoy :)

The Turkish Ford factory (Otosan)made Mk5 Taunus/Cortinas long after they ceased production elsewhere - 'til about 1992 or so. It now builds Transit Connects.
