Insurance prices can and do fluctuate. Its really finding a point where you get a bit lucky to find a price where it fits nicely with what you're willing to pay.

It's a bit like train prices or the lottery. You'll be forever finding high quotes when suddenly a fairly good price hits you and you hit the buy button.

Yup and just to state the obvious go compare and suchlike take the piss if you want cover to start immediately. As for it to start in 2/3 weeks and it can make a big difference

Insurance now at a point where it isn't HFM. I've been doing a lot of thinking, and it's just better I keep it for a bit longer I think. I'd been pondering what I'd replace it with, but there's nothing that's immediately springing to mind that would do what I want, so I'd likely end up buying another one anyway, and that's just a bit daft.

Headlight protectors have been fitted again, since it's lighter nights and I'm not driving in proper pitch black anymore.

I've since been continuing the giffer theme with a Stoplock (ideal really since I'll be parking it up sometime next month possibly), and a set of mudflaps I've had in the hut for about six months.

One on the left is a tiny bit wonky, but that's largely due to the fact the bumper and arch liner are a bit damaged from the rear end bump. Everything else underneath is absolutely spot on though, so I can live with that.

I've got a set of what I think are facelift Vectra B mudflaps for the front here. Unfortunately, I don't think they will fit right since the FL cars had side skirts... however I'm going to look into my options of getting them to fit well. Some modification may be required, but nothing I cannot deal with.

Overall, things are looking a bit more positive, and I've found my soft spot for the car again. :)

Finally, somewhere to rest my arm.

Came from the ex-@PicantoJon (and many others) Vectra SRi estate, which is going on to save an early GLS that's had a bit of a thump.

That one there, to save the one below.

Honestly, the estate is lovely really, its a credit to the various 'shiters that had it. Needs a wee bit of work, or else I'd have taken it on.

The seats may live on... maybe... 🤫
